I haven't posted in a long time.  I should have known that a story about a shooting would have pissed me off enough to get back to my keyboard.

Dateline, White Settlement, TX: December 29th.

Sunday church services.  Nut waltzes in and kills two people with a shotgun.  Within six seconds, he's shot and killed by an armed congregant.  Naturally, the gun rights people are loving this.  Which is a little disturbing.

The Stupidity of the GOP Base

Sure, I'm pissing off half the field with that title, but I'm done being nice about this.  (Not that I ever was.)  Because as much of a game of "Us vs Them" politics is, common sense should have to kick in at some point.

Not for the Republican base.

It's been almost a year since I picked up nutjobs off the street here.  Not because I've just been neglecting my job, but because it's taken a while for something to piss me off to the level of posting something.  But here we go again.  Three of my greatest hits, converging at once:  The NFL's anthem policy, the disgrace in the Oval, and guns.

Donald Trump is a white supremacist.  There's no denying it anymore.

Incompetence Has a Face

The fact that someone colossally stupid could be working for Donald Trump is not, in and of itself, remotely surprising.

The fact that someone whose job it is to communicate with the media could say anything this stupid is... well... holy shit.
